AMERICA THROUGH ARTISTS EYES
On display October 25- April 5, 2015 at The New Jersey State Museum is AMERICA THROUGH ARTISTS EYES. A group exhibition curated by Margaret O'Reilly of New Jersey based artists invited to interpret what America, or the idea of America means to them.
Artist Maria Lau is exhibiting a multi-layered quadriptych titled "Deliverance" of the Statue of Liberty stating personal Cuban-American immigration experience and the pursuit of the American Dream. Also on exhibit by Lau, is a series of four photographs titled “Americas Ride” celebrating First amendment rights, while questioning media integrity and addressing political and healthcare corruption, each photo is steeped in the symbolism of the all American rollercoaster ride.
The exhibition is on view from October 25-April 5, 2015.
Reception date is Sunday October 26th 2-4 p.m.
